Catina L. Flagg is a dedicated and compassionate non-profit executive director who is driven by a personal mission to empower at-risk families and underserved populations.
As a single parent of one, Catina understands firsthand the challenges and barriers that can impede success and achievement. With her strong educational background and professional certifications, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role as the executive director of Empowerment Center for Hope and Opportunities (ECHO). Catina began her educational journey at Houston Community College, where she earned an Associate Degree in Business Management. Recognizing the importance of leadership and organizational development, she continued her quest for knowledge and obtained a Bachelor of Professional Studies degree in Organizational Leadership from Roosevelt University. Determined to further enhance her skills, she immediately pursued her Master of Business Administration in Organizational Leadership. Catina's thirst for knowledge and commitment to continuous growth led her to enroll in the EdD program at Abilene Christian University, further solidifying her expertise in the field. In addition to her educational achievements, Catina holds several professional certifications that highlight her diverse skill set. She is a Registered Health Information Management Certification (RHIA) holder through AHIMA, showcasing her proficiency in managing health information and ensuring its accuracy and security. Catina also holds a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification from AAPC, demonstrating her expertise in medical coding and billing. Furthermore, her Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification underscores her dedication to process improvement and efficiency. Catina's journey from humble beginnings has fueled her passion for ECHO's mission. As the executive director, she is committed to removing barriers to success and achievement through intervention-based solutions, comprehensive services, and real-time referrals. Catina envisions a future where self-sufficiency, hope, and opportunity are accessible to all, inspiring and implementing sustainable solutions for at-risk and underserved populations. With her exceptional leadership skills, extensive knowledge, and personal commitment to the cause, Catina L. Flagg is an instrumental force in driving ECHO's mission forward and creating positive change in the lives of those who need it most.
