The holidays, for a lot of families, are a joyful time. For those that are struggling to meet even their basic needs, though, the holiday season forces them to make difficult decisions that can become financially burdensome. Others go without. It is ECHO’s goal to assist in connecting families who are in this situation to the Embracing A Family Program.

The Embracing A Family program’s commitment is to spread holiday cheer to less fortunate families in the greater Houston area. Starting in the month of October, generous people can register to become a sponsor for the Embracing a Family program.

Sponsors with hearts of gold and giving spirits, purchase toys, housewares, clothing, and other items that are needed by the sponsored family. By doing so, sponsors can ease the burden presented to their families during the holiday season and help to bring special memories that everyone deserves.
